Emergency Feeding Program

The Emergency Feeding Program (EFP) is a vital outreach program for our community. The Damascus family is dedicated, through our Outreach Ministry, to support the Mission of EFP and is a collaborative partner. Damascus’ annual budget and special offerings help to ensure that people have access to emergency food seven days per week.

Mobile Health Clinic

Many local families can’t afford the cost of healthcare. The Mobile Health Clinic is a free community healthcare service. You can get routine exams, checkups, and other medical services. The Mobile Health Clinic is a helpful resource for anyone who has lost their insurance coverage. Volunteer doctors and nurses run the Mobile Health Clinic. You and your children can get routine exams, checkups and other basic medical care. Please contact Damascus Baptist Church about the Mobile Health Clinic.

Held in our parking lot on Saturdays
Run by volunteer doctors and nurses
Basic medical care for families and individuals
No medical insurance necessary
Assistance available for prescriptions

Konnexions

Kommunity Konnexion is our missions and evangelism ministry which involves outreach to our community. Our ministry consists of three programs: the Emergency Feeding Program, the Mobile Health Clinic and the Lazarus Day Center. Through Kommunity Konnexion we make disciples as commanded by our Lord Jesus Christ in order to deploy them as agents of change and assist them in their time of need.

Marriage Ministry

The purpose of the Marriage Ministry is to foster emotionally healthy marriages, by encouraging married couples to willfully establish and exercise biblical principles in sustaining the marriage covenant. This takes place by married couples participating in informal Bible studies, workshops, retreats and discussions focused in aiding marriages to be victorious in coping with everyday life issues that present natural tendencies for marriages to drift apart.

Rev. James P. Broughton, III Senior PastorDamascus Baptist Church

Our First Lady

First Lady Tammi M. Broughton was born in Anchorage, Alaska. She is the daughter of Deacon Jessie L. Jr. and Sister Gloria J. Tucker. In November 1998, Sister Broughton married Reverend James P. Broughton, III in San Jose, California and she became the stepmother of twin daughters Dominique and Cymone. First Lady and Pastor Broughton are also the proud parents of daughter Anaiah.

Sister Broughton has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration with a Technology Management focus. She has traveled extensively in her professional capacity and has held various financial and business management positions with international organizations. Sister Broughton currently serves as Choir Director, Sunday School Teacher, and Co-Servant Leader of Sisters of Virtue. This is in addition to her demanding role as First Lady.

In her role as Co-Servant Leader of Sisters of Virtue, Sister Broughton developed and implemented a new ministry structure that fosters inter-generational relationships among Sisters empowering them to model the truths of God’s Word (Titus 2:1, 3-5)

First Lady Broughton says, “I’m a very blessed individual and I know all of the blessings that come my way are not for me. I’m to be a channel of blessings for others. And I praise God for allowing me to be His vessel.”
